My preferred print medium is aluminum, and all of my photos can be purchased on this site as metal prints with a glossy finish and a float mount. Special edition prints are also glossy, but have a sheer finish, whereby the surface of the metal shows through brighter areas giving the final product a translucent luminescence.

This is most effective in black & white photos, high key images as well as those with subtle colour transitions.

It is impossible to show this effectively in a photo, but on the left you can see how light is reflecting on the geyser about 3/4 of the way up.
